Living Our Values

You’re helping make the world just a tiny bit better with every purchase. That’s so squatch.

That’s because Tribe Sasquatch is more than an apparel company. We’re a movement, founded by friends who share in the conviction that life is most beautiful when lived purposefully, in service to our authentic selves, our communities and our environment. To live on purpose is to be Squatch.

That’s why we spread as much love as we can to charitable organizations that, in our opinion, are squatchin’ it--and helping others squatch it too.

Right now, we’re donating 4% of net profits to the standout organizations listed below. We know it’s not much, but it’s a start and we hope to increase the share as our tribe grows.

Empowerteen is Social-Mental-Physical-Emotional wellness and prevention program for adolescents and young adults to prevent personal and societal conditions in a way that relieves stress and encourages fun! We give teenage girls and boys skills to develop a powerful awareness of strength in self, and tools to become happy, healthy, integrated and productive members of society. Topics covered in the program include building self-confidence, positive self-talk, effective communication, cultivating healthy relationships and conflict resolution skills, increasing body image, nutrition, disconnecting from technology to connect mind to body, developing mindfulness, empathy, living with gratitude and purpose, and rising above self-disserving labels. Lessons are cultivated using the latest understanding and research in biology, sociology, biochemistry, neurology, endocrinology, quantum physics, anatomy, physiology, psychology, and other behavioral sciences as tools to develop these skills.

Simama Project

Nanyuki, Kenya

Simama Project belief is an equal opportunity for every child. Talent and potential are evenly distributed across the world, but opportunity is not. We’re working on changing that one child at a time. Simama Project focuses on;

  • Community Outreach & Prevention

  • Social Rehabilitation

  • Academic Empowerment

  • Lifeskills & Leadership Training

  • Opportunity & Enrichment

What differentiates the Simama Project is our “whole-child” model of success. It is not enough to simply pay for a child’s school fees. Many children in Kenya lack access to basic services like a safe place to sleep and a light by which to study. They are often forced into begging on the streets or are simply too sick to even attend school. Our goal is to remove these barriers to not only get kids into school but also allow them to succeed.
